DaisyTest is a test page used to validate wiki page generation for the MDriven documentation.
Purpose
This page exists to verify that new wiki pages can be generated and rendered correctly. The content below demonstrates an example procedure drawn from standard MDriven Designer modelling behaviour.
Example procedure: repairing an association
In MDriven Designer, a class lives in a Package, while a diagram is just a representation of that class. Because of this, removing something from a diagram is not the same as removing it from the model.
When you select an association by clicking its line and press the Delete key, the association is removed only from the diagram, not from the model. Using Ctrl+Delete would remove it from the model instead.
To restore an association that still exists in the model but is no longer shown on a diagram:
- Confirm the association still exists in the model. You can search for the class in the repository tree and open an auto diagram to verify that the relation is still present.
- Go back to the diagram, right-click, and choose "introduce and remove" (reintroduce/remove associations) to pick the association back from the available elements, which draws it on the diagram again.
- Once the association is shown, you can adjust its connections. Hover over the end of the association to see the blue circle, then press and hold the Ctrl key, click and drag the association end, and release it over the target class to move the association end.
Associations have anchor points on their classes, so you can design how the diagram looks. You can also use the square line option, which routes connections in 90-degree angles, and you can set a diagram to square new associations by default through the diagram properties.
