In order to add an association, you must first state what two classes will be participating. It is possible to add a relation from and to the same class.

A relation now has two ends - you can state their names - give them describing names like "Teacher" and "Pupil." If you create an association from Person-class back to Person-class and want to describe that a person may be a teacher to other persons.
