Attributes have simple types (one single value). The type of simple value must be stated. Typically, the type of an attribute is one of these:

| Text | A longer text of any size but not directly searchable |
| Integer | A number without decimals |
| Double | Any number |
| DateTime | Date and time |
| Boolean | Yes or No value |
| Blob | Binary data of any kind |
